The emblem is a modern rendering of Seschat's traditional headdress. In Egyptian depictions she wears a sign made of three parts, and the logo adopts these three parts:

The seven-pointed star

It stands at the centre and is Seschat's unmistakable mark – no other deity wears it. In the logo the seven rays end in dots radiating from a common centre. The rosette thus also becomes a network of linked nodes: an image of the recorded AI systems and their connections.

The downward-open arc

The arc above the star also belongs to the original symbol. Its meaning is not conclusively settled in Egyptology; it is often read as a bow or a pair of horns. In the logo it acts as a protective roof under which knowledge is ordered and preserved.

The vertical staff

It carries the whole. In the original it is the staff on which the sign stands. Seschat is also often shown with a palm rib into which she cuts notches for the regnal years. The staff can therefore also be read as a measuring rod and yardstick, fitting her role as goddess of measuring and counting – that is, of taking inventory.

The colours have meaning as well. The gold recalls Egyptian tomb painting and insignia. The night blue stands for seriousness and reliability – exactly what one expects from a register.
